The Beauty of Soft Skin...

I am a lotion freak, not particular with them but I use lotions everyday. I have all types of lotions laying everywhere, in my room, in my parent's house room, in my office, big, small, medium, I pretty much have them all. I think is the best gift to give someone if you don't really know what the person like because at times it does comes in handy.

Johnson's lotion is no stranger to any of us, it is well known, commercialized brand in the market. They have a huge range of target market, from the infant to the old, everyone knows and have at least used Johnson's product once before. It is a trust worthy brand among the consumers.

My hand looks weirdly pale in this picture.

Johnson's body care range, matching lotion & powder.

In this event, Johnson's Body Care pays tribute to the beauty of soft skin through an exclusive fashion showcase featuring limited edition "Gaya Ayu" collection by fashion designer Nurita Harith, and modelled by celebrity TV host and actress Neelofa Mohd Noor and Megan Tan, and actress Almy Nadia.

The alluring & feminine 'soft' fashion presentation wow-ed the audience with 12-designer pieces featuring satin, chiffon and caressing fabrics that flowed gently as the celebrities'sashayed down the runway.

Was testing out the blue bottle of Oxygen Fresh Gel Lotion

We got free hand massage, AWESOME!

My University Senior, Julia :D

It doesn't end here.
Johnson is also inviting Malaysian women to be their own fashionista and present their most beautiful soft looks through a contest - which underscores the importance of possessing soft, beautiful skin to complement one's fashion choices, be it casual, chic and trendy , or formal.

Top three winners will each walk away with one of the exclusive designs in Nurita Harith's apparel collection, an opportunity to be featured in a digital fashion look book together with celebrities Neelofa, Almy & Megan, RM5000 cash prize and a Johnson & Johnson products hamper worth RM100.

My Universal Traveller leggings was torn, not so super excellent brand. [Review]

I won RM100 voucher from Travel3Sixty magazine and like a super excited kid I flashed to one of the Universal Traveller store in Mid Valley to redeem my voucher. I managed to redeem something extremely practical for me and my job environment, a Thermal Legging. The material was thick and comfortable plus I trusted the quality. Unfortunately I can only redeem one thing because this legging cost RM99. I know right, so expensive for just a legging.

I finally wore them one of my working day when I knew that day would be an total freezing day outside. Happily I dressed up in all black as the picture above. Again, the leggings was awesome, super comfy. Until, after lunch when I went to the loo to pee, I found out one of the sewn section is ripped apart. What the FREAK!!! AFTER ONLY 1 WEAR of half a day!!!

I mean, when we get something that is branded & expensive, we expect a little more quality in the product. I never have any problems with any of my other cheap leggings. I don't know what in the world did I do that it made a hole in my leggings :( I know I can and I will sew it back but I guess this is a lesson learnt that not always branded items hold a top notch quality.

Not so SUPER Excellent Brand anymore I guess.

It's up to you what's next... [Sponsored Post]

Let's talk about life. We were all born into this world not knowing what the world has installed for us. As a baby, all we did was cry, sleep, poop & drink milk. Then we learned how to roll, sit, crawl, stand, walk and run. Maybe we can add in a little mumbling of words or making weird toddler sounds. Next, we were pushed into the beginning of the human torture of socialization, pre-school or some may call it kindergarten. That's where we learned how to make friends and learned how to un-friend those who made us sad, at least during that time we still have the guts to tell them straight to their faces "I don't wanna friend you already!". Sounds familiar? :)

After that, most of us were forced into the 6-long-years of primary school, just to study & learn things so that we can understand what the teacher teach when we're pushed into another 5-mundane-years of secondary school. Whether you enjoyed the 11-years of schooling really depends on your status quo in school, I can sadly admit that I was quite a wallflower & rather a pushover when I was in high school. Therefore, I'm not really fond of my life back then.

However, I remembered clearly one statement that my high school teacher taught me, "Whatever happens in high school remains in high school, just let them be because once you moved on from these shenanigans, things will get better." and truly, it did. Because it is true when they say that college or university is the best time of your life. Though, before you start 'living' your college or uni life, picking the right course and institute will either make you or break you for the rest of your life. Take a short journey through my University life from the collages below, these are some of the awesome people I've met along the way. :)

So you really got to have at least an idea of what are your interests and what do you want to do in the future. Then when choosing the right institute, research is the key. Doesn't matter where you get your sources from, internet, websites, facebook, word of mouth, advice from your parents and even from those 'ke-po' aunties & uncles keep nagging to you bias-ly about a certain university. Just listen to all of them but make your own decision at the end of the day.

A particular university that you may be interested to check out would be the KDU University College and they have 25 years of excellence for their School of Hospitality, Tourism & Culinary Arts. The SHTCA houses two departments (Culinary Arts and Hospitality & Tourism) with a wide range of programme offerings, and boasts of a long-standing partnership with the IMI University Centre (IMI), Lucerne, Switzerland. The partnership enables the school to offer IMI programmes in Malaysia, without students having to go abroad, hence making it the only Hospitality, Tourism & Culinary Arts School in Malaysia that offers a complete Swiss experience.

Here's more reasons why you should consider KDU's School of Hospitality, Tourism & Culinary Arts:

Hospitality & Tourism

  • You'll get native language lecturers - German & French
  • They have Research Clusters within the School
  • it's a Dual Award programme
  • the only one in Malaysia to have Corporate Communication major with CSR
  • Their partner University will pay an often visit to the faculty
  • Learn through field trips
  • they have International Placement - HOSCO
  • Open Policy by lecturers
  • Flexible mode of fees payment
  • Enjoy life studying projects - Going bald for cancer, Walk for the Blind & etc.

Culinary Arts

  • Their culinary lecturers are Master Chefs
  • The only University College that offers Butchery - perparing hams, bacon, sausages & etc
  • They do visitation to the professionals such as Chef Heiko & Creative Kitchen Planners
  • It is a Dual Award Programme
  • They often join & wins International Culinary Competitions
  • International Placement - HOSCO
  • Open Policy by lecturers
  • It is 70% hand on programme
You can always visit http://www.kdu.edu.my/ for more info or if you want to know more about students life & activities, you can check out http://campuslife.kdu.edu.my/

Super Minimal Makeup - For the lazy & in the hurry.

Well, some might say this is not really putting on makeup but to be honest, I don't really slap on loads of makeup on a daily basis no matter how much of a cosmetic junkie I am. I love makeup & I love having to play with them but realistically, most of the time lazy people like me would always be in the hurry because we like to sleep in more than waking up earlier to spend time in front of the mirror in the morning before work or school.

However, we can't avoid the fact that we still want to look presentable. None of us would like to look dead, tired or dull in public. Thus, putting on a little bit of makeup does help on those unfortunate bad skin or emo days. We just want to look awake, healthy and natural, that's all. Even a Korean star needs some makeup to look beautifully natural. :)

Things used in the video:

Loreal Lucent Magique BB with capsules
Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation
Loreal Double Extension Mascara
Lancome Maqui Blanc Miracle Compact Powder
Etude Nymph Aura Jelly Tint Blusher
Lunasol Coloring Cheeks in Glow Coral
Maybeline The Jewels Lipstick in Red Garnet

AsterSpring O2 Acu Energizing therapy [review]

Everytime I post on FB/Instagram "I need to clear my skin" or "I need to take better care of my skin", some people will reply "You already have very nice skin" or "Your skin is already good". Then, I look into the mirror, Shzzzzzzzzz where got nice my skin?! It's dry, can see open pores, blackheads & crazy horrible congested forehead. :( Emo....

I have to admit, when I see myself, I don't see myself as fair until I see a picture standing beside a not so fair person. I see myself as being fair when I put my hands together with a not so fair person. When I look into a mirror, I will criticize my flaws. I'm not perfect but I am happy about my good sides. :) So yes, I am glad & proud to be fair. Other than just being fair, of course as a girl, we still want to look better & maintain skin better. It has to be smooth & supply, moisturized clear looking skin.

I was happy to receive an invitation by AsterSpring to try out their new facial therapy, the O2 Acu Energizing therapy. Uniquely combining scientific knowledge and holistic healing knowledge to effectively fight dull, uneven skin with visible pores while relieving stress from the body, it provides three-in-one skin perfecting solution that revitalizes, replenishes and restores cellular energy while effectively de-stressing.

Fun facts about this therapy:

Coupled with the powerful combination of pure oxygen infusing machine therapy, the unique therapeutic facial massage therapy and the usage of soothing aromatic oils, one is immediately relieved of physical and mental stress. The unique and innovative O2 Acu Energizing Therapy works as it benefits the skin in three major ways. It repairs the skin’s smoothness; helping the skin regains textural softness and reconditions for an even skin tone. This is done effectively through the activation of lymph circulation and re-oxygenation of cells, a vital process to ensure detoxification and revitalization for a healthier skin functions.

Good lymphatic circulation is essential to skin health as it promotes internal and external detoxification, hence increasing the skin’s immunity, as well as preserves nerve-muscles functions. The human lymphatic system, made up of fine vessels and lymph nodes, filters waste and carry nutrients to the body’s cells. Blocked lymphatic circulation results in dull, tired skin with poor healing abilities. To activate lymphatic circulation, the O2 Acu Energizing Therapy starts with a blissfully relaxing AsterSpring Touch therapeutic massage. During this portion of the therapy, the therapist gently works on acupressure points to awaken the body’s energy chakras, stimulate toxin drainage, as well as perform anti-stress remodeling strokes. Delightfully soothing aromatic oils are used for this part of the session, with the therapist concentrating on tensed muscles, tenderly kneading the stress away while circulating nourishment to the cells.

Oxygen, the elixir of life - provides vital energy to living cells so that they can function at optimum levels. An increased dosage into the cells provides energy to skin cells and promotes tissue healing. The re-oxygenation process through the infusion of pure oxygen instantly regulates healthy skin functions. The delivery of oxygen via machine application is used to replenish and recharge tired skin by boosting oxygen uptake into 14 vital facial acupressure points with non-invasive pulse-injection pressure. The machine is able to deliver deep penetration of pure oxygen up to 95% into the skin with effective penetration of 25 psi (pound of force per square inch) within 15 minutes. The deep pressure helps cell regeneration and lymph drainage by easing the flow of energy.

The AsterSpring Signature Treatment - O2 Acu Energizing Therapy is priced at RM 388 and RM428 (at AsterSpring Signature centers) for a treatment session of 1 hour 45 minutes per session. I did mine at One Utama outlet. :)

To clarify, this is not so suitable for people with much acne or extremely sensitive skin. Please note that this is a therapy, not a treatment.

I am very satisfies with it. Not much of result can be seen physically, just even up my skin tone a little bit.  What I am really happy about is that internally, I really do feel more relax and it helped to de-stress. I feel emotionally calm and serene plus the place was quiet and peaceful. A good environment does help in being relax. Trust me, not all facial salon understand the meaning of making your customer feel relax while doing facial.

With this therapy, they do lots of facial massage, putting pressure at the right spots on the face. It is really an amazing relaxing therapy that I feel will be very suitable and helpful for student stressing with exams and assignment as well as working ladies that are constantly feeling stressful due to work. It really lifts up the mood after therapy.

If you can see my forehead, yes, they did a little extraction and trust me it wasn't painful at all. Of course, it was really just a little extraction. Your face will definitely felt more moisturized after the therapy because it is meant to make you feel as your face is supple and hydrated.

They pump in the oxygen using a machine that sounded like they are pumping air into car tyres. It was rather cooling and fun. They also did shoulder and a little back massage. It was superb. I think I slept during the session, so malu "embarrassing". Lols. I hope I did not snore.

Would I recommend this? Yes I would but for relaxation and de-stressing purposes. Of course, I can't see much result with one therapy, you will need a couple sessions of this. All I can say now is that my skin felt happier after the therapy, I feel much happier after the therapy, my head felt lighted after the therapy, everything just seemed so good after the therapy. It's like after eating your  comfort food or hugging someone you love. I'm sure you get what I mean by now. :)

DHC Collagen Beauty 7000 with Watson [Media Launch]

After a fun meeting with #FashionFabulous people, Jess invited me to join a new collagen launch by Watson at Fukuya Japanese Restaurant, KL. Since I was not rushing to anywhere, why not. Blindly I sat in her car following her without knowing who will be there & what is the event about. It was a beautiful restaurant serves rather delicious Japanese dishes makes us forget about the unfortunate limited parking space.

I noticed Tey Cindy was there holding a mic and definitely can't miss out the presence of Chessie (Ringo) & Fourfeetnine (Audrey) was there too. Okay... So what's going on???

As I walked in deeper & deeper, I saw 2 girls in kimono holding big card board of DHC 7000, well at least that's all I can read from the board. By the shape of the board, I would be plain blur if I didn't know it was collagen drink since it is super hyped up these days. I have been meaning to try collagen drink, any collagen drink will do. Just so happen this event came along. :)

The actual product, 1 box comes with 10 bottles. Yes, we were given 1 box each to try. I'm taking it everyday for a #10daychallenge to see how well it works. I'm in my 4 day now. :)

They also did a simple and extremely basic skin test. If you go for regular facial, you can skip this in the event. Nothing much really but we girls still will kepo & test for fun. =_=

Yes, DHC have other skincare products as well which were pretty impressive, I was intrigued by their cleaner bar as it foamed up so well plus felt super creamy. You can find them in Watson. :)

We all tossed for great skin! Yay for first time tasting DHC Collagen Beauty 7000. First impression, not bad, quite yummy like grape juice. :)

Hey there Jennie!

Fountain of Youth in a Bottle

Okay, it's time for the facts:

Making up 70% of the inner skin’s layer, Collagen is a protein that depletes drastically in the body after the age of 25, which then causes the onset of wrinkles and sagging skin. By supplementing with Collagen, there appears to be a parallel in effectively reversing the signs of aging from the inside.

Originating from Japan, DHC Collagen Beauty 7000 is a high quality collagen drink that allows you to consume 7,000 mgs of fish Collagen in one bottle. Vitamin C and other essential ingredients are also added to enhance its efficiency to promote collagen synthesis. Exclusive only to Watson’s stores, another key indication of DHC Collagen Beauty 7000’ efficacy appears to be its modified – lowered - molecular size which enables the body to absorb its ingredients with relative ease.

Test results show drinking DHC Collagen Beauty 7000 every night before going to bed for 3 consecutive months increased skin elasticity by 26%, and up to 46% in skin moisture. Muscat grape juice and honey have been added for freshness and taste.
A review will be up after me finishing up all the 10 bottles. Stay Tuned!

Loreal Glam Shine Miss Candy Lipgloss [Review]

Shiny, Glossy and so sweet like candy.

Loreal sent me this lipgloss some time ago and I've recently found time to review it. I feel that I don't really have much to say about but to just show you the swatches on lips & on the back of my hand. Is a normal size gloss tube with a nice silver cap but through my experience, the nice silver cap will fade or chip after some time hiding in your cosmetic closet. I like that they call their gloss in sweet names such as mine is called Miss Marshmallow :) It is the lightest colour among the three. I feel the swirls in the tube is really cute and wil definitely attracts the younger market and those suckers towards packaging, like me.

I don't have much issue with the short, tear drop applicator. I think it picks up a good amount of products for my lips. It comes out more pink than orange and it is quite sticky thus you can expect that it slightly long lasting. I'm not sure about other colours but for mine, it looks like a clear gloss with tiny orange glitters on it. Though, I believe that the other two seem more promising on colour pay-off cause they look rather bright and bold. I don't really like how it smell, like most of loreal glosses, it reminds me of plastic candies but it goes away after a while so it doesn't bothers me much. :)

Get your sexy 3D lips here!

What do you think? :)
