Blush Paper & Mistletoe Kiss by Michelle Phan

If this existed long time ago, please give me a slap cause I literally just found out 2 weeks ago about this BLUSH PAPER!

Image 1

I googled it and this is one of them selling blush paper: http://www.maicouture.com/products/BLUSH-PAPIER.html

As I was watching Michelle Phan's Video, at one point she was using a blotting sheet to create a matte look for her lips and another moment, she was tearing of Blush Paper from the same blotting sheet! I was like "Woah, wait wait, REWIND!"

It so awesome to know that she now has her face on a Lancome Box with all amazing cosmetic goodies inside. I feel among all beauty gurus, she is one of the most daring ones. She does all kind of costume look with wigs and all kinds of accessories that not everyone is willing to try.

I love other beauty gurus like Elle, Holly, Megan, Rae, Charlotte and MszJackieChu but Michelle definitely win in the best videography because of the short story that comes along with her tutorials that makes it extra interesting to watch. I think she does voice over most of the time and I like her constant changing background that fits the theme. Maybe because I a partially in the broadcasting field, I pay some attention to the music as well. I like her choice of music and I do like some of her songs as well.

Maybe I should do a "my fav beauty guru" blogpost and say why. :D Should I?

Shiseido White Lucent Intensive Spot Targeting Serum+

The perfect skin?
Damn it, we all want that, even guys!

One of the major concern and challenging problem in skin care is the stubborn, hard-to-remove spots. These problems may only appear highly more noticeable on older skin but the result for not taking good care of your skin now is the result of these dark spots.
For a young-chap like me, you may not see any difference in using this product as some of you probably think that you already have the perfect skin. Well, outwardly looking flawless doesn't mean internally your skin is not starting to build up all the persistent melanin that will appear in the later years.

The problem with dark spots is that it hides under your skin. So no matter how much you scrub the surface of your skin, obviously it is not going to work.

The trick with dark spots is to work into the skin. So this is what the new Shiseido White Lucent Intensive Spot Targeting Serum does, it mimics laser treatment. Though, obviously this is way cheaper than going for Laser and apparently Laser treatment only works for a few months, after that your dark-spots will re-occur.

In this Spot Targeting Serum, the new technology is call the Melano Sensor System+

Step 1: Stop spots before they start - m-Tranexamic Acid targets the excess condition of persistent spots.
Step 2: Target the root of spot formation - 4MSK helps diminish the activity of enzyme tyrosinase.
Step 3: Reduce melanin production - Multi-Target Vitamin C reduces its volume.
*NEW* Step 4: Remove signs of melanin smoothly - MelanoCrush Energizer targets trouble spots and crushes melanin. 4MSK regulates cell turnover. Darkened melanin is smoothly removed.

If you're a noob on these freaking terms just like me, I usually skip reading the bombastic scientific terms. In layman term, this new technology will target spots and crushes the roots of their pigmented appearance. Those pigments that has been crushed to fine particles will then be pushed up to the skin surface when then be cleanse away!

To Use:
Apply morning and evening, after softening lotion and before moisturiser.
Push pump twice to dispense serum onto palm and smooth over face.

This is the consistency of the serum. Not thick, watery-based for easier absorption.

I have my mom trying it out for me and she told me that after using it for about 2 week, she sees a lighter skin. Of course, not fully removed spots but it is visible that it is working slowly for a clearer complexion.

This bottle is 30ml and will only be available in March 2012 onwards. So do drop by your local Shiseido counter for information.

Check this Special Shiseido link out to for more comments on this product. (the link will only work after 16 January 2012)

UFO: Taiwanese Snacks and Dessert

Ohla!

I was invited to a food testing some time ago and a bunch of us bloggers was just there knocking ourselves out with a whole lot of finger foods and bubble tea and bowls of icey goodness!

I got there kind of late and everyone was already there with their ordered food and the usual, NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO TOUCH THEIR FOODs until every picture is taken! Lols, that is what I love about bloggers gathering. Thanks to Benjamin Foo for his invitation.

SO smart of them! Who wouldn't like Calamari Rings?! Fried SOTONG!

UFO MilkTea!

This is the Mini QQ Special.
The fun part about UFO is that they have the full size and mini specials!

Can you see the difference? This is the big version of the Taro Balls. However, I think a few of us don't prefer our grassjelly to be this big. We preferred it to be diced into smaller pieces.

Chicken Fillet. Again! Who wouldn't like Fried Chicken!

Mini QQ Special Ocha-Ocha

I think this is Issac's Bowl of Icey Goodness.
I remembered it because of the two big dumplings.
For some reason, that day, he ordered all the dumplings he can.

If you should know, this is another snack ordered by Issac.
Sesame Glutinous with Peanut Toppings
And it was YUMMY....
Maybe because I like almost anything with sesame.

This is something cool.
Cheese Hot Dog.
I know it is not something new but I don't know why but I personally do like them a lot.

Now when it comes to fries. They are one hell of a master. UFO have a freaking wide range of flavoured fries. Unfortunately, we only managed to order a few types.
Picture above is Cheese flavoured.
You probably can see any difference here but order it for yourselves. You will know what I mean.

This is my order, do you remember last time McD has this Seaweed shaker?
Oh how I miss that! and WoahLa! UFO has them and I just couldn't take my hands off them!
This is my FAVOURITE Seaweed Fries!

I think this is the Chilli Fries. Okay this is not much fancy with just the sprinkle of chilli powder but still, it is a freaking good snack!
They have other flavours like Wasabi and BBQ.
I'm surprise that none of us actually order those.

The is the all time super famous drink
The Pearl Milk Tea
It taste decent and it is way cheaper in price as compared to other commercialized bubble teas.

Let's have a tour of all these beautiful and handsome bloggers attended the testing.

The Menu :D
now you can plan what you want before actually getting there and staring at the menu blankly.

Btw, if you don't already know. UFO gives you the liberty to pick your own toppings!
I was literally blur blur while picking them as there were so many choices.

Heads Up: For the Soya Series, it will get a bit 'too much' after a while because soya can tend to make you full sometimes. So you should really share that with a friend.

Heads Up #2: For Matcha, unless you are a big fan of green tea and a big fan of drinking green tea doesn't count. Like me, I personally love drinking green tea because they are good for you but I hated them in any other forms of food like ice-cream or cakes. So, this is just a FYI.

Don't forget to collect your UFO pager!

I'm a Santarina with Lighting Studio & Academy on Christmas Eve

Ho Ho Ho
Blessed Christmas Everybody!

On Christmas Eve, I finally get my wish to have a shooting opportunity with my new hairstyle in order to update my modelling profile. I was at the DCIM MidValley Exhibition Hall for this photoshoot job with the amazing Lighting Studio & Academy. If you don't know, they offer courses, workshops and masterclasses on photography, videography, digital art and digital music! Check out LISA Website or LISA Facebook . People that I was working with are fun and friendly bunch of artistic people.

I was told to be a Santarina for the first time! :D

Big Thanks to Danny Ong one of the photographer present that day. Whoever was there, please add me on facebook and tag me the pictures! Thank you!

Just an update on me, I am planning to start my full detoxification on the 28 December 2011. It will last for 3 days surviving only on fruits, water or juices. I've learned this from the recent Mirror's Ambassador pre-final talk by the famous nutritionist, Wong Yu Jin. My routine will be as following:

Day One:
Morning after waking up
1 cup of water mixed with Lemon Juice + 1 tbsp of Psyllium husk

Night before sleeping
1 cup of water mixed with Lemon Juice + 1 tbsp of Psyllium husk

In betweens......
Fruits, Juices, water or tea.

Day Two:
Morning after waking up
1 cup of water mixed with Lemon Juice + 1 tbsp of Psyllium husk

Night before sleeping
1 cup of water mixed with Lemon Juice + 1 tbsp of Psyllium husk

In betweens......
Fruits, Juices, water or tea.

Day Three:
Morning after waking up
1 cup of water mixed with Lemon Juice + 1 tbsp of Psyllium husk

Night before sleeping
1 cup of water mixed with Lemon Juice + 1 tbsp of Psyllium husk

In betweens......
Fruits, Juices, water or tea.

xD!
They are all the same routine.

If you are wondering what is Psyllium Husk, it is actually a herb.
Psyllium is quickly becoming one of the top recommendations for people using low-carb Atkins-style diets. It is very difficult to get enough fibre in a diet when you eliminate the carbohydrates in cereals, whole grains and fruits. Psyllium capsules are an easy way to take care of this problem. It fills you with fibre, reducing appetite without overstimulating the nervous system; a much healthier approach than formulas containing ephedra such as Herbalife or Metabolife.
Psyllium is the husk of the seed of the Plantain and is a top herb used in weight control and for general intestinal health. It contains a spongy fiber that reduces appetite, improves digestion and cleanses the system, making it an excellent choice for healthy dieting. Psyllium can provide the fiber that is missing on low carbohydrate diets. Every 100 grams of psyllium provides 71 grams of soluble fiber; a similar amount of oat bran would contain only 5 grams of soluble fiber. Only recently have scientists learned that soluble fiber has unique effects on metabolism. Just take one or two capsules with a glass of water or Yerba Mate diet tea, half hour before meals. The herb also provides a feeling of fullness that is helpful before meals. Psyllium is one of the simplest, healthiest and most effective herbs for weight control.
Psyllium has also been used for irritable bowel syndrome (a stress-related disorder with alternating bouts of diarrhea and constipation). Because it will produce easy bowel movements with a loose stool, Psyllium is used by patients with anal fissures (cracks in the skin near the anus) and hemorrhoids and is often recommended following anal or rectal surgery, during pregnancy and as a secondary treatment in certain types of diarrhea.
Psyllium soaks up a significant amount of water in the digestive tract, thereby making stool firmer and, under these circumstances, slower to pass. Psyllium also has the additional advantages over other sources of fiber of reducing flatulence and bloating. It may be recommended by a physician to help soften stool and reduce the pain associated with hemorrhoids.
In a study of people with ulcerative colitis (a type of inflammatory bowel disorder), psyllium seeds were as shown to be as effective as the prescription drug mesalamine in decreasing recurrences of the disease. In addition, a physician may recommend the use of psyllium as a bulking agent for mild to moderate cases of diarrhea from either ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease (another type of inflammatory bowel disorder).
Research reported in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition concludes that the use of soluble-fiber cereals is an effective and well-tolerated part of a prudent diet for the treatment of mild to moderate Hypercholesterollaemia. Soluble fibers such as those in psyllium husk, guar gum, and oat bran have a cholesterol-lowering effect when added to a low-fat, low-cholesterol diet. Studies reported in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition have shown psyllium to be quite effective in lowering total as well as LDL ("bad") cholesterol levels, which can be helpful to those with high cholesterol and those at increased risk for developing hypercholesterolemia, such as people with type 2 diabetes.
Studies and clinical reports suggest that psyllium may enhance the sensation of fullness and reduce hunger cravings. For these reasons, incorporating psyllium and other sources of fiber into the diet may aid weight loss.
For those simply wishing to improve digestion and intestinal tract health, a single capsule per day is all that is needed.

I will do a full post on what I feel after once I have done the total detox for three days. :) At the moment for that 3 days, I will be bumming at home maybe playing The Sims 3 and help to take care of my baby nephew when he is around :D
